I have put my update in video form, so I hope, hope, hope that it works for you to watch. Enjoy!
Did it work? Did it work? Did it work?! I hope so! If not...well, sorry. It worked for me!
I thought it might be good to post some pictures of the beginning of our journey, as well! Don't expect this many photos in future updates. : )
Try keeping track of 11 passports!
We decided to spent the night at the airport before our early morning flight on January 25th in order to try to get more sleep. We managed to stay there the whole night, but due to the hard floor and cold room temperature, there was very little sleep involved.
But it was worth it because it was part of the journey that led us HOME!
We've already spend a few days at Hermano Pedro and had the opportunity to take some of our buddies out for lunch at Pollo Camperos! This little guy below and on the left is my "novio," Julio. The picture on the right is of two of my little brothers playing Wii with our neighbor, Imanuel. Imanuel is a great little guy to have around, and I think he appreciates having many new playmates. He speaks only Spanish, and doesn't even seem to realize that his playmates don't!
My brother, Joshua, just had his 8th birthday on Monday! In addition, Carmen and Casey Stickley were here in Guatemala with us for the first 9 days, and Carmen shared her birthday with us the day after Joshua! They treated us to dinner at Café Sky.
So we are home. And we are so full of joy right now! Thank you, Lord.
